WE HAVE AN URGENT NEED FOR VOLUNTEERS IN ALL major urban centers in the USA!

MISSION: make riot police laugh! Much more difficult to shoot someone who is making you laugh! Clowns dodging rubber bullets and flashbangs is much better TV than riot police shooting journalists!

Uhauls full of clowns mocking Patriot Front with drums and fifes are urgently needed.

If you are asking “why clowns"?

Justin, you have to see my post today, with a brilliant video that's all about where the power that's destroying us came from:

Really really really how we got into this mess

We need a different conception of God

When the immigrants are rounded up and deported, who will do the jobs that immigrants did? The dishwashing, cooking, cleaning, landscaping, building...at rates that Americans would not accept? Do Americans realize that they are being set up to replace immigrants in these jobs...at undocumented immigrant rates?

That's one reason why I don't think they'll ever do it. It would destroy their neoliberal economy. They wouldn't have surplus labor to exploit us with and they wouldn't be able to scapegoat and exploit a devalued and silent labor force.

They are putting on a good show by targeting more average people and invoking fear, but they have like 50,000 people detained. It's abhorrent, but if their goal was removing 10,000,000 immigrants, they aren't even nicking the surface. Their voters are duped... bigly.

I want to add something. If he really is intent on mass deportation, historically that means you bring labor in from other countries or reintroduce from the country they were expelled to… through strictly controlled and often very poor conditions. This actually happened in the 1930s. In that situation between 1-2 million were deported to Mexico (60% estimated to be American citizens), and they were brought back under a new program.

I see that the repatriation of Mexicans in the 1930s was fueled by the familiar tactics of blaming the Depression on immigrants. I wonder about the human psyche, never being able to see beyond its own biases against the "other" - even as we are robbed blind by the billionaire class. I wonder though about an America in which the White Supremacists have their way by removing all people of color. The average MAGA voter seems not sufficiently intelligent to grasp that this does not serve them well. The solution to their woes would be to again invite immigrants fleeing economic hardship and climate chaos to boost the workforce...but would immigrants want to come to an authoritarian and fascist America? What happens when AI makes the jobs Americans are willing to do obsolete? The poor underclass, with no means of leaving these shores, will be forced to do the menial jobs in service to the wealthy. Any which way this is cut, to my mind, does not bode well for America, and more so for the very ones cheering current events.

It gets more freighting when you look at how the Nazis did this. They expelled people at first en masse. I think they quickly realized that was bad. So then they just started imprisoning people and forcing labor, not only non-Arians, but dissidents, POWs and other people from countries they invaded. It gets dystopian real quick.

Great piece, Justin. You tied so many things together that have led us here.

Capitalism was evil. The neoliberal version has been far worse. Its end games now.

The sooner we get bloody, the better the chance of salvaging something.

An inspiring, and beautifully written piece, Justin. As you know, I don't think there is anything 'on the other side' from ecological collapse but I entirely agree that the fight for socio-ecological justice is worth having regardless of the final outcome. Whatever partial and relative justice can be found as the ship goes down, is made more valuable by its brief existence.

“Because if these are the moments before total collapse, they are also the moments when something new can emerge.” There’s where to put our focus. Going beyond stating that way evolution works to getting into some nitty gritty of getting those emergent thing to occur.
