'Enzo' reminds me of Elders I have encountered.... The 'sanctuary' is a 'reservation', a place where ostensibly the old life can go on... but which is actually a kind of prison. That was clearly recognized in the early days of confinement, but is now glossed over with the rhetoric of 'tribal sovereignty': 'You can do as you like, as long as you do it our way'.
This film is a reminder that our original free existence is at stake in the mad pressure to commodify and monetize everything.
